LaLiga president Tebas: FIFA have no say on Miami game

LaLiga president Javier Tebas insists FIFA have no say on plans to staging a game abroad.

Tebas remains determined to stage Girona's match with Barcelona in Miami.

"(FIFA president Gianni Infantino) has no decision on that, but I would have liked if he had a different opinion," said Tebas. "I think that doesn't make sense given what's happening with football in the United States with the MLS."

Tebas refers there to the three MLS sides from Canada.

"We don't consider ourselves competing with the MLS. If the MLS one day wants to play a game in Spain, I will help them with that game," said Tebas.

The Liga chief also said the game will take place "on 26 January at 2.45pm local time in Miami at the Hard Rock Stadium."
