LaLiga president Javier Tebas has taken aim at Josep Maria Bartomeu after his resignation from Barcelona.
Upon announcing his resignation on Tuesday, Bartomeu announced that the Catalans had accepted a proposal to create a European Super League.
The criticism of the ex-president has been building for quite some time now, but it ramped up after the way in which he confirmed his departure from the Camp Nou.
Tebas has previously accused Bartomeu of having "serious ignorance of the football industry" and hasn't wasted this opportunity to take another shot.
"I believe that Bartomeu was led by Florentino [Perez]," Tebas said to AP. "This league has been the Real Madrid president's dream. He's worked on it for a long time - that's nothing new.
"But it is a serious mistake. He doesn't understand the seriousness of the financial consequences that will come with it."
