Lagerback unimpressed by Liverpool: Too passive

Norway coach Lars Lagerback was left unimpressed by Liverpool for last night's 0-0 draw with Bayern Munich.

The Reds were held at Anfield in the first-leg of their Champions League round of 16.

Lagerback said: "Liverpool created more than Bavaria, but they did not show desperation. They created a couple of positions that might have resulted in goals and (Sadio) Mané had more time than he thought there.

"I'm still surprised at how passive they were in Liverpool. They had some periods when they tried, but this with getting in behind the back line, we saw nothing of it.

"They could have created more, but of course, they should have scored goals in the first half. They defended disciplined and it will be a tough match in Germany.

"0-0 is the best undeveloped result you can get at home."
