Manchester City have swooped for one of the best young players seen inside Barcelona's academy for over a decade, according to La Masia staff.

City have clinched the signing of former Barca junior Pablo Moreno from Juventus in a €10m deal.

Barca scout Javier Mahia told Marca: "At Barça he is breaking all records that were created by Bojan (Krkic)."

Barca U14 coach Carlos Martinez also remarked: "He is very good, he is the most competitive player I have coached.

"He has a bright future, but he has to go step by step."

Moving in the opposite direction from City is Portuguese youngster Felix Correira.
