LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena believes star pairing Robbie Keane and Giovani Dos Santos will only improve the more they play together.

Keane scored a brace, while Dos Santos netted another as the Galaxy cruised to a 5-1 win over New York City FC on Sunday.

The pair combined brilliantly all afternoon, and Arena believes it is a sign of things to come – a scary thought for MLS defenders everywhere.

"He (Keane) played very well. I think he and Dos Santos have a great relationship," Arena told MLSsoccer.com.

"It's been a real team effort and I am pleased with Robbie's performance and the guys who scored goals, but it's all about the team here and I think today we continue to see this team grow in this first eleven get better and better the more they play together."
