LA Galaxy captain Ashley Cole has upset Arsenal fans after paying tribute to manager Arsene Wenger.

Wenger announced he would quit Arsenal after 22 years once the current campaign ends next month.

Posting to his official Twitter account, Cole tweeted: "To the man who believed in me and trusted me to play in a great team, thank you for having my back.

"I will never forget the conversations we had and the belief you had in me thank you for some great memories and good luck in whatever is next for you."

Cole's post has angered Arsenal fans for the way he left for Chelsea earlier in his career.
