Kuyt says Dalglish return has lifted everyone at Liverpool

Dirk Kuyt feels Kenny Dalglish's return to Liverpool has lifted everyone connected to the club.

The attacker spoke about how he is enjoying working with Dalglish and his new approach to matters on and off the field.

"Kenny's appointment means a lot," he told liverpoolfc.tv. "He's legend for all of us, not just the supporters and it was really positive.

"He arrived late on Saturday, we met him on the Sunday morning when we had a meeting and we had the game against Blackpool.

"So, in between games it has been recovery and preparation. He has spoken a lot to the players, it's never easy for any manager to come in the middle of the season.

"Roy Hodgson gave everything he could. We just want to play in a certain way. Every manager has their own training sessions and tactics and way of playing.

"And if you've seen us the last three games we've played more as a 4-3-3, while under Hodgson we were playing a 4-4-2. You listen to the manager and you make the best of it.

"Hodgson gave everything for the club to do his best and it's a shame it didn't work out.

"Dalglish is one of most important managers for Liverpool.

"You only have to listen to the crowd to hear how important he is for this club and that's the same for the players."
