Liverpool attacker Dirk Kuyt admits he was aware of interest from Inter Milan.
Kuyt knows Liverpool rejected an approach from Inter for his services during the summer.
"I have heard that there was interest from Inter Milan," he said. "It's a big club, but Liverpool let me know that I am a key player for them.
"That to me is very important."
