Toni Kroos feels Real Madrid are rediscovering their best form.

The midfielder insists he has confidence in his team, as he did last season when they went on to win the Champions League, despite the LaLiga Santander blow.

"It's true that we had some problems at the beginning and we've given away too many points in the league in the first half of the season, but that's in the past," he told Die Welt.

"I always knew, and the last few years have simply given me confidence, that we have a superior team and that we can never stop moving forward.

"Each victory gives the whole team confidence in themselves and we don't stop working, even when things were not like that.

"Last season we were defeated relatively early in the league, so the championship was no longer realistic, and yet that fire has always been burning inside us because we knew we could win something more and that's we won the Champions League again."
