Krisztian Nemeth has admitted regret over the way his Liverpool career panned out.
The Hungarian international joined the Reds under Rafa Benitez in 2007 aged just 16, but never made a competitive appearance for the Reds.
Speaking to These Football Times, Nemeth stated: "Injuries came at a bad time. I could see the chance in front of me and that I couldn't reach it.
“Of course it wasn't just because of the injuries but they played a big part, because there were a few opportunities that if perhaps I wasn't injured I could have taken.
“If I didn't move to AEK [Athens], I would have probably made my debut. I did well in the first team during pre-season and there was a period when Torres and most of the other forwards were out injured at Liverpool and only David Ngog was available."
The forward recently completed a move from Sporting KC to Croatian outfit Dunajska Streda.
