Kristoffer Peterson: Quitting Liverpool bubble was right decision

Kristoffer Peterson feels he was right to leave Liverpool for Dutch football.

The Swedish striker is now with Heracles Almelo, having left Liverpool for FC Utrecht over 18 months ago.

He told the Lundh podcast: "Some live in that bubble, that you play for Liverpool and just believe in it to the last. Some of my group was left with the reserves as 22-year-olds.

"One was hoping in the end to become a Liverpool player. I did not want to be one of them, I wanted to get my experience and went to the Dutch league, because it was a good step to take for me.

"I'd rather have 25 matches in the Dutch league in a season than one or two with Liverpool."
