Niko Kranjcar shone for Croatia in midweek but expects to be overlooked again by Tottenham on Saturday. The Spurs playmaker scored twice and making the other in a 3-0 Euro 2012 qualifying victory over Malta.
He is, however, little more than a fringe player at club level at the moment and admits that he does not expect to make Hary Redknapp's starting XI for the North London derby against Arsenal.
"I hope that the people from Tottenham saw this game," he said following his impressive showing against Malta.
"I don't play too much at the moment so I couldn't wait to get on the pitch. Everybody could see that.
"But I don't expect too much. I guess nothing will change at my club. If my status didn't change after our (Croatia) game against Israel, I don't think it will now.
"But, I repeat, I am not the owner of my contract so I have to wait and hope for better days. But of course my wish is to play, at Tottenham or somewhere else."
