Koscielny and Emery held showdown talks over Arsenal future

Laurent Koscielny is prepared to stay away from Arsenal's first team squad as he seeks a move away.

ESPN says Koscielny has told Unai Emery he will happily train with the reserves until his future is resolved.

The French central defender refused to travel with the Gunners for their pre-season tour of America, telling the club he wanted to leave.

A host of Ligue 1 teams have expressed an interest in Koscielny this summer.

But the defender remains an Arsenal player for foreseeable future due to the none of the French outfits reaching an agreement with the north London side as of yet.

Koscielny and Emery met last week, with the defender telling his manager he would be happy to train with the reserve squad until his exit is secured.
