Augsburg have signed Koo Ja-cheol on loan from German Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg.

The 22-year old South Korea midfielder has arrived at the SGL Arena for the remainder of the season and the club's general manager Andreas Rettig was delighted to have him on board.

"We are extremely happy to have been able to land Je-Cheol Koo on loan for the rest of the season," Rettig told the club's official website.

"We had been looking to sign him for some time and are delighted that things have gone our way in the end.

"We would like to thank Wolfsburg for the agreement I would like to thank Felix Magath for working on the deal."
