Everton striker Arouna Kone claims that the Toffees are ready to fight for a top-four place in Premier League this season.

The Merseyside club currently sit in ninth spot, five points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

He said: "All the squad need to be aware of the fact we've got this opportunity now to try and push on. Players are remembered for being successful and that's what I want.

"If we're ready and prepared to take on these teams over the next few weeks and months, who knows where we can end up?"

Everton will travel to West Ham on Saturday.
