Kompany rallies Man City fans for Liverpool showdown: We need you

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has rallied fans ahead of their clash with Liverpool on Thursday.

Backed by tremendous away support, the Blues beat Southampton 3-1 to end a difficult month on a positive note and head into their top-two clash at the Etihad seven points behind Jurgen Klopp's men.

After going over to show his appreciation for the travelling fans that had helped City on the south coast, the club captain had a message for anyone that will be there for the next game.

"We want to win. It is one of those key games you live for," he told Sky Sports.

"Every living soul that comes into the stadium on Thursday has to be ready to fight and give it to them, and we should be able to pull everything out of the locker for that game."
