Kolo Toure: Two-footer on Wenger made my Arsenal career!

Kolo Toure has recalled how a sliding tackle on Arsene Wenger made his Arsenal career.

The former defender from the Ivory Coast, however, thought that the adventure would end before it even had time to begin.

In a trial match, Touré tackled with both feet - and went right through then manager Wenger.

"I think that sliding tackle changed my career. It showed the manager just how much I wanted to be successful, and how much I wanted to be a professional football player. That's how he interpreted it, at least," says Touré to FourFourTwo.

"All players burst out laughing. I was completely shocked! I thought they would send me home right there and then."

The 39-year-old now belongs to Brendan Rodger's coaching staff at Leicester City.
