Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov has said that he is enjoying his new role as a centre-back in manager Pep Guardiola's team.

The 30-year-old, who is used to playing in a left-back position, has been deployed by Guardiola in the centre of defence in recent games and has passed the test with flying colours.

"It's a big change for me," he said.

"I've never played before at centre-back. I've played in midfield but never centre-back.

"But I am enjoying it in that position because it is not like typical defender – we are more involved in our play."
