Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has earned a historic honor at the Old Trafford club.

The 18-year-old won the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award this week.

Mainoo received the award at Old Trafford before United's 4-1 win over Chelsea in the Premier League on Thursday.

The talented teenager is seen as one of the most promising members of United's youth team at present.

Mainoo may be hoping to get a chance to impress manager Erik Ten Hag during pre-season this summer.

However, a loan move appears the most likely for the teenager to gain regular first team football.
