Former Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert believes it's too soon for son Justin Kluivert to leave Ajax.

Kluivert has been linked with Barca, but his Dad says he needs another year with Ajax.

"For Justin it is more important to develop. He has to be physically and mentally prepared to play," said Kluivert Snr.

The Dutch great, however, believes Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt is ready to move to the Nou Camp.

He added: "I would sign him (De Ligt) now."
