Fabinho and Naby Keita both arrived at Anfield this summer with limited English skills.
And according to Liverpool's former language tutor Alan Redmond, the pair will be put through their paces in language classes this season.
Speaking about Klopp's no-nonsense approach, Redmond told ESPN FC: "It's hugely important.
"Ten times out of ten I find that the best players have an appetite to learn.
"I won't name names, but I can think of seven or eight occasions where players turned up and you could see they had no interest in learning the language.
"Usually in the first or second transfer window they were out of there on loan or permanently."
