Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reluctant to pay over the odds for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.
The Times says Klopp is reluctant to bid for Lemar, fearing Monaco's valuation of the player is too high.
The Ligue 1 champions have stuck a £90m price tag on their star man this season.
But Lemar has been unable to match the form he showed last term when Monaco beat PSG to the title.
Arsenal were willing to pay the fee in the summer, which is why the French outfit are holding out for the same amount this month.
Klopp believes there are other players who can be signed to replace Philippe Coutinho.
Borussia Dortmund starlet Christian Pulisic is one of Klopp's fancies.
