Jurgen Klopp has been discussing the return of Virgil Van Dijk to Southampton for the first time since his drawn out transfer to Liverpool.

"It might not be the most friendly. But it's not something we really think about. No-one at Southampton will say we have stolen him, it was a very public deal.

"There have been a lot of good players from that area (Southampton). Maybe we should have our scouting department down there.

"It won't be a friendly game, they fight for everything, we fight for everything. They will want to show their quality but we have our own targets. They are a football playing side."
