Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has likened Bayern Munich signing Philippe Coutinho to Juventus icon Alessandro Del Piero.

Klopp feels the loan move for the Bacelona midfielder will be good for all parties.

He told Kicker: "Coutinho has an incredible eye for distance goals. I have not seen a player come in from the left and shoot the ball with such regularity and precision from those type of positions since Del Piero.

"He dominates football matches and is a real asset if he can make his mark on the team.

"Bavaria needed him and Bavaria wanted him."
