Jurgen Klopp spoke glowingly of Marko Grujic following his impressive first appearance for Liverpool.
The 20-year-old Serbian midfielder, who has linked up with the Reds following his loan stint with former club Red Star Belgrade, scored one goal, won a penalty and hit the woodwork in a 5-0 pre-season friendly win over Fleetwood Town.
After the match, Klopp highlighted Grujic's performance as he strives to further the development of the talented youngster.
"He scored a goal in his first game in the first situation - it's a dream," said the German.
"You saw it, in a friendly game not often a player celebrates like him but obviously it was a big moment. It was nice to see.
"He is still a young lad - he is 20 years old and that means there is a lot to develop physically and, of course, in the football parts.
"We are ready to work with the boys, they will improve - and they have to improve - but for the first game it was absolutely fine."
