Jurgen Klopp believes that Fabinho can help him avoid dipping into the transfer market.

The Reds are facing a crisis at the back, with Virgil Van Dijk one of their only fit center backs.

The likes of Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez are all missing.

But Klopp believes that Fabinho's versatility can help him in these moments.

"They are not out for long. It's not cool in this moment but in two weeks it will probably be okay," Klopp told his press conference ahead of the trip to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton.

"If Fabinho has to play as a centre-half what we want is the natural understanding of the game.

"If you are a holding 6 or a centre-half with the ball it is easier."
