Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to see a reaction from his team after their humbling against Aston Villa.
The Premier League champions lost 7-2 away from home in the fourth game of their title defense.
However, Klopp believes the way the team reacts is what matters more than the occasional defeat.
He told reporters: "First and foremost, congratulations to Aston Villa because they deserved it massively.
"Nothing I could say tonight could help that result so why should I be completely outraged?
"Is it a one-off? I would like to think so but the proof of that will be in the next couple of weeks or months. A game like that should not happen, 100%.
"I don't think I lost that high. It is not a personal defeat but it is a massive one.
"It is important how we react. The only problem is we cannot react tomorrow. These boys are very self-critical and they know everyone has his hand in this result. We have to deal with it and we will deal with it."
