Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen has taken a new dig at former club Everton.
Klaassen has said training sessions with his current club Ajax are at a higher level than what he encountered at Everton.
Klaassen was one of the most exciting attacking midfielders in European football in 2017 when he joined the Toffees for a fee in the region of £24 million. However, he struggled to showcase his quality in the Premier League and made just seven top-flight appearances.
"Ajax will always remain special to me and I wanted to play at a higher level," he said. "The Eredivisie may not be that, but the training sessions at Ajax are of a higher level than at Everton or Werder Bremen."
Last season, Klaassen was on target 12 times in the Dutch top flight and this season he's helped Ajax excel in the Champions League, with the Amsterdam giants winning all six of their group games to storm into the last 16.
