The former Reading striker smashed home Mamady Sidibe's flick after only two minutes to put the visitors ahead, but David McGoldrick equalised eight minutes before the break.

Former Saints loanee Vincent Pericard's long-ranger made it 2-1 to the visitors.

Stoke secured the win 10 minutes from time when Jamie Hatch put the ball into his own net, after good work from Pericard.
