Loan signing Dave Kitson is hoping he can kick-start Middlesbrough's season. The 29-year-old Stoke striker has joined the Teessiders on a two-month loan deal as Gordon Strachan looks to increase the club's firepower.
Boro currently sit in 10th place in the Coca-Cola Championship table after a run of just one win in their last five games and having taken only a point from the nine available since Gareth Southgate's departure.
Kitson said: "I am not really aware of what the problem is, if indeed there is one. But I have seen the players, the supply line - which is the first thing I look at - and it's very decent and very capable.
"Hopefully all it was is they were just lacking someone just to get on the end and be in the right place.
"If it's as simple as that, hopefully it will go quite smoothly."
