Kilmarnock keen to keep ex-Rangers, Middlesbrough striker Boyd

Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels is determined to keep Kris Boyd at the club next season.

The 29-year old returned to Rugby Park on a short-term deal in February after departing MLS club Portland Timbers and Shiels is hoping to retain his services if the former Rangers and Middlesbrough man was keen to stay.

"I'd like to keep him, obviously, and I'm hoping that something might happen," he told the Daily Record.

"However, I've still to speak to Kris and to the chairman so we'll need to wait and see."
