Wigan's Kevin Kilbane is keen to get a new contract at JJB Stadium despite being out of favour in recent times.

The Republic of Ireland international's contract expires in summer and he is eager to remain at the club.

"I don't know what my long-term plans are - there's been no contract offer or anything," he told the Wigan Evening Post.

"It's not particularly in my thinking at the moment. I'll just have to see what happens in the next few months. But I'm happy here, I'd like to stay."
