Dutch pundit Wim Kieft believes Donny van de Beek must re-adjust his game to make it at Manchester United long-term.

Former PSV star Kieft says Van de Beek needs to reconsider his ambitions of playing as a No10.

"Van de Beek must have known that when he got there, he thought: I'm not going to force (Paul) Pogba out, I'm not going to force (Nemanja) Matic out," said Kieft. "You just have to wait for your chance.

"You just have to wait for your moment and when it comes you have to grab it. Then you slowly grow into it. Because of course he is not Frenkie de Jong or Matthijs de Ligt."

Kieft does not think that Van de Beek will eventually occupy the No10 role at United.

"No, he will not enter that. But that is how you really only play like at Ajax. And not many clubs play that. But he is very steady and task-conscious and always does his best. But of course he is not Bruno Fernandes."
