Former Manchester City attacker Wim Kieft has urged Xavi Simons to take inspiration from Bernardo Silva.

The PSV Eindhoven youngster is Holland's bright new thing.

And Kieft says Bernardo is one player who can be an example for Simons. He wrote for De Telegraaf: “With Simons, many wonder whether his frail stature will make him physically unable to maintain his position internationally at the highest level.

"We don't have to be afraid of that. You can easily name a number of players who have a similar physique, such as Pedri and Gavi at FC Barcelona or Bernardo Silva at Manchester City.

"Pep Guardiola used to have Xavi and Iniesta at FC Barcelona, it was never a problem."
