Former Holland star Wim Kieft has questioned Steven Bergwijn's plans to leave Tottenham.
The Spurs midfielder is a target for Ajax and has declared he's ready to leave London.
Kieft told De Telegraaf: "Negotiations are now underway between Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur. Whether going back to the Netherlands is the best solution? Without having anything against Ajax, isn't it nicer to play in the Premier League and succeed?
"If you go back to what you already know, your foreign adventure has failed.
"Tottenham is a beautiful club with a beautiful new stadium.
"But at the time, Bergwijn chose more on emotion than on ratio. You get the same feeling with Frenkie de Jong and his choice for Barcelona."
