Dutch great Wim Kieft has taken aim at Marcel Brands over his work at Everton.
Kieft says the former PSV Eindhoven sports chief is blowing his job at Goodison Park.
He wrote for the De Telegraaf: "He has a budget there that they are even jealous of at Ajax, with more than a hundred million more to spend than in Amsterdam.
“With a turnover of almost 215 million euros, Everton is in seventeen of the richest clubs in the world. Nevertheless, the presence of the Dutch technical director Brands is by no means a guarantee of success.
“Everton finished in eighth place without European football and despite major investments, the club is now third from the bottom, at a place where you're relegated at the end of the season. I fear the position of the Portuguese trainer Marco Silva at Everton. Brands can do better by looking in the mirror instead of covering up his mistakes and blaming others."
