Ki Sung-yueng is determined to improve on his last season with Newcastle United.
The former South Korea international had a mixed debut campaign on Tyneside, making 18 Premier League appearances, but also finding himself out of the side for long periods due to injury problems and his involvement in the Asian Cup.
“I had an injury, and then the first period of the season I didn't play much. I went to the Asian Cup, and came back with the injury, so it was a little bit confused," Ki reflected upon his first season on Tyneside.
“But, I think, it was a great experience working with the manager. He's the top manager in the league. I learnt a lot of things from him. Hopefully, next season, it'll be better than this season."
