Socceroos star Harry Kewell has helped Galatasaray into the top four of the Turkish Super Lig. Kewell scored in the 2-1 in over Genclerbirligi, defeating fellow countrymen Bruce Djite and James Troisi in the process.

The former Leeds United and Liverpool man fired Gala' into the lead in the 63rd minute after coming off the bench in the first half.

Baris Ozbek made it 2-0 to the home side after a Kewell cross found him at the back post just four minutes later before Carlos Kahe got one back for Genclerbirligi.

Gala' are now three points of fifth-placed Fenerbahce and meet top side Besiktas away next weekend.
