Harry Kewell was again on target for Galatasaray as they lost 2-1 to league leaders Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig. Gala' needed at least a point to remain in the Europa league qualifying zone but were unable to achieve that and dropped out of the top four despite Kewell's best efforts.

Brazilian striker Bobo opened up the scoring for Besiktas in the 41st minute before Kewell equalised four minutes after the re-start.

However, Gala' could not hold on for a point as Yusuf Simsek again put Besiktas in the lead in the 58th minute.
