Kevin Gameiro was delighted with his goal in Atletico Madrid's win over Athletic Bilbao.

The striker declared his commitment to the club at the final whistle.

"I've never asked to leave Atletico Madrid," he confirmed in his post-match interview.

"I know we're going to have a good season and I believe we are going to win titles.

"We will fight until the end of the season, the group is very comfortable and we'll continue to try and catch up."

Recently Gameiro's form has been impressive, and he has scored four goals in his last six games.

"I hope to continue in this way," he noted.

"We have a very long season with lots of matches left.

"It's good for my confidence."
