Kennedy nets winner for Nagoya Grampus

Australian international Josh Kennedy scored the winner for J-League club Nagoya Grampus on the weekend. The 27-year old scored in the 76th minute of the away clash with Omiya Ardija as the Japanese national league returned from its World Cup break.

It was Kennedy's 11th goal of the season and kept Nagoya in third place on the table.

Elsewhere in the J-League, Vissel Kobe scored two late goals to grab a 2-2 draw with FC Tokyo, YuzoTashiro scored a double to lead Montedio Yamagata to a 3-1 home win over Vegalta Sendai, Junichi Inamoto was sent off just before half-time as Kawasaki Frontale lost 2-1 at Kashima Antlers, Albirex Niigata drew 1-1 with Cerezo Osaka, Shonan Bellmare put their midweek loss to Kashima behind them by winning 1-0 away at Kyoto Sanga, Gamba Osaka defeated Urawa Reds 3-2 despite an Edmilson brace, Sanfrecce Hiroshima won 3-0 at home over Yokohama Marinos and Shimizu S-Pulse dropped to second after their goalless draw with Jubilo Iwata.
