Liverpool have left out Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from their Champions League squad.
The Reds are hoping to go a step further than last season, when they lost in the final to Real Madrid.
The absences of Keita and The Ox from their squad are both due to injuries.
Keita has a muscular injury that requires specialist attention.
In addition, Oxlade-Chamberlain is likely to spend the next few months on the sidelines.
Both players should be in contention to feature in the squad in the New Year, provided Liverpool make it through to the knockout phase of the competition.
The Reds go to Napoli in the first game of the group stages on Wednesday.
