Keisuke Honda explains terminating Vitesse contract: I don't think...

Japanese great Keisuke Honda has ended his time with Vitesse Arnhem.

The former AC Milan and CSKA Moscow striker signed for Vitesse in November after successful trials. However, after seeing coach Leonid Slutsky sacked, Honda has decided to terminate his contract.

The 33 year-old explained: "When I came here, my mission was to change the situation. I did not succeed. Leonid Slutskiy left the club. I feel responsible for that.

"That's why I don't think I should play here in the spring.

"I appreciate everyone - teammates and fans - who have taken good care of me."
