Manchester United legend Roy Keane believes that his former club must show Liverpool respect after the Reds won the Premier League in dominating fashion.

The Red Devils and Liverpool have historically had a strained relationship.

"It will be hard for them (Man United) to stomach (Liverpool's league win)," he said.

"Whatever club you're involved with, you have to give Liverpool the ultimate respect. It's a fantastic achievement, it's been a long time coming, but I think they way they've played.

"The stats will back that up. They've been outstanding. Klopp's been there four years, the signs have been great the last two years.

"The recruitment has been fantastic, they've been very effective.

"People enjoy watching Man City, the way they play, but really the end-product from Liverpool has been fantastic."
