Diouf is currently on-loan at Rangers.
Kean told the Lancashire Telegraph: "Has he a future here? Yes I think he does. It's been difficult for him at his stage in his career after all the clubs he's played for. He's then had to move sideways and see Junior come in ahead of him.
"That's probably been tough on Dioufy but he's never been a problem. Never a problem at training grounds or at games. It's nothing to do with what happened at the QPR game.
"The team would always be picked on who is doing well in training and who we think can go and do the job."
