Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean is failing to mend bridges with Christopher Samba.
The Sun says Kean wanted peace before Saturday's crunch home date with QPR.
The unsettled centre-back was pencilled in to play in a behind-closed-doors reserve fixture against Carlisle United yesterday.
But he did not feature and did not take part in first-team training either.
Talks between the pair have so far failed to find a solution, even though Kean is desperate for defensive cover with Gael Givet facing a three-match ban for his red card at Arsenal.
