Kashima Antlers continue good form in Japan

Kashima Antlers notched up their fourth J-League win on the trot when they defeated Jubilo Iwata 3-2 on Saturday.

The Antlers found themselves two goals down after 42 minutes but bounced back to score three times in the second half and record maximum points against the odds and retain top spot.

Shimizu S-Pulse and Nagoya Grampus played out a classic 3-3 draw with Australian defender Eddy Bosnar grabbing the final goal and leveller in the 79th minute for Shimizu after Keiji Tamada scored twice for Nagoya in the first half.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima pushed up to 6th with a narrow 1-0 away win over Urawa Reds, Cerezo Osaka defeated Montedio Yamagata 3-0, Brazilian midfielder Marcio Richardes scored a hat-trick as Albirex Niigata beat Vegalta Sendai 3-2 away, Yokohama Marinos needed a late goal to see off Gamba Osaka 1-0, FC Tokyo grabbed all three points after a 3-1 away win over Shonan Bellmare, Vissel Kobe won 3-1 at home to Omiya Ardija and Kawasaki Frontale kept Kyoto Sanga on the bottom of the table by beating them 1-0.
