Karius content as Liverpool keep another clean sheet

New Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius was thrilled that he and his teammates were able to keep yet another clean sheet for the Reds.

The Merseyside club defeated Championship outfit Huddersfield Town 2-0 at John Smith's Stadium on Wednesday night to continue their promising pre-season run.

It is now four consecutive clean sheets in pre-season for Karius and as much as he loved the fact he produced another shutout, the summer arrival is just as happy winning as he is when not having to pick the ball out of his own net.

"It's always good to win and a clean sheet again," he told LFC TV.

"It wasn't the perfect game all the time from us but we managed to keep a clean sheet and score some goals so it's a good result for us."

""I'm not all about clean sheets, I'm always happy if we win, but it's a good thing.

"It shows we are working well together, not just in the back, but the whole team is working good against the ball.

"It seems we are doing some good work in training."

He added: "It's always important to work in training and get it all going there (with the defenders) but of course the match is a different experience and it's a good sign that early on we do so well in the back."
