Former Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has admitted his interest in the Huddersfield Town job.

With Huddersfield sacking boss Jan Siewert after a poor start in the Championship, they are searching for another coach.

Karanka would be eager to talk with Huddersfield officials about their plans for the coming years, per Sky Sports.

He has not been in a job since leaving Nottingham Forest in January after a year in charge.

Huddersfield have not made any decision about who they will pursue, as they are keeping their options open.
