Japan international Kaoru Mitoma says it feels as though he has been playing all his life at Brighton.
The 25-year-old winger, who came off the bench in their 2-1 win over Germany at the World Cup, has impressed with the Albion this term.
While he would hope to achieve even more game time for club and country, Mitoma admits that he is happy with how much his game is improving.
Mitoma said, per The Argus: “I think I've improved a lot, as the intensity of training and the quality of my team-mates are pretty high.
“Obviously, by playing in matches against these top class teams, I can feel myself developing.
“The intensity of training, fighting for every ball, the tense atmosphere in each match and the fierce rivalries.
“It feels like we are all playing for our lives - both players and the fans, which is something different from what I was used to before I came to Europe."
